Jordann Balaich, RN, LALD

Co-Founder & Co-Owner, Open Arms Senior Living

Jordann Balaich is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Open Arms Senior Living, a locally owned senior living community in the Duluth area dedicated to compassionate care, meaningful relationships, and an elevated standard of living for every resident.

With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, Jordann brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and leadership to her role as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD). She leads the day-to-day operations of Open Arms with a hands-on approach, ensuring exceptional care, a strong team culture, and an environment where residents truly feel at home.

Jordann's healthcare journey began in high school as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she discovered her passion for caregiving. She went on to earn her Practical Nursing (LPN) and Registered Nursing (RN) degrees, building a strong clinical foundation that continues to guide her leadership today. Her experience spans assisted living, skilled nursing, hospice, and home care-giving her a well-rounded, resident-centered approach to care.

As a healthcare entrepreneur, Jordann co-founded Open Arms with a vision to create a more personal, locally led model of senior living. Under her leadership, the community has grown to include assisted living and memory care, with continued expansion through The Ascent at Open Arms, a newly developed independent living community designed to meet the evolving needs of aging adults in the region.

Jordann is deeply committed to building a culture rooted in trust, dignity, and connection. She believes strong relationships between residents, families, and staff are the foundation of exceptional care and leads with the philosophy that teamwork makes the dream work.

A proud Duluth native, Jordann finds balance outside of her professional life by spending time with her four children, cheering them on at their sporting events, and enjoying time outdoors through hiking and traveling.
